Trade the expensive Camry for a cheaper one, then use some of the spare cash in the budget to buy something completely irresponsible and fun.

At least my next car is going to get better gas mileage then what I currently get...(23 up from 18) but my commute is 10 miles one way. And Costco is a quarter mile from my work.

I can’t imagine that he’d be positive on the car’s value if it was only a year or two. Who knows, maybe he only had a 3 year loan, maybe he traded in something really pricey, but I kind of doubt it.

I’d also bet that his high budget counted on trading in the Camry, but if you only have $5k to spend and can’t find something entertaining, you’re not trying very hard.
